BOOK BY: Mary Connealy
What a satisfying conclusion to Mary Connealy’s Brothers in Arms trilogy!
This story picks up at exactly the same point where book two left off. Wyatt is awake now and trying to figure out who shot him. Molly is caring for him, and tired of the thankless work she has to do around the ranch. She decides it’s time to spread her wings, and tries to leave. The rest of the family is taking care of outlaws and uncovering secrets galore.
As always, Mary’s books are filled with humour, exciting action scenes, and a loveable cast of characters. It was fun seeing the couples from the previous two books play significant roles in Molly and Wyatt’s story. And as well, there’s a surprising connection that I didn’t see coming (did I mention, I really like that when that happens?).
Avid fans of Mary’s work, will be delighted to see a character from a previous series make a cameo.
I highly recommend reading this series in order. Readers can still enjoy each book on its own, but will gain a better understanding of the dynamics between characters if books one and two are read first.
I love the author’s voice which always pulls me in from the first paragraph. I haven’t come across other books with a similar feel (quirky with a healthy dose of humour), and I look forward to reading whatever new series Mary Connealy is working on.
