Tracking Tilly (Little Red Truck Mysteries 1): Book Review

BOOK BY: Janice Thompson

Tracking Tilly is a fun, cozy mystery without the usual murder-mystery. RaeLyn is excited to win back her grandfather’s truck at an auction, only to have it stolen from the auction house the next morning.

There’s a wonderful cast of characters – quirkiness and all – that gives readers plenty of suspects to choose from. The story is slower-paced, giving readers time to get to know RaeLyn and her extended family. There are some juicy secrets from the past that add to the list of suspects, making this an enjoyable mystery to solve.

As always, Janice Thompson delivers on humour while providing vivid details to pull readers into RaeLyn’s world. A slow-burn, second chance romance adds to this redemption story as RaeLyn works to forgive people in her past. A light faith thread is woven through the pages.

I quite enjoyed RaeLyn’s story and look forward to reading more cozy mysteries by Jan Thompson.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.
